CACAO & POETRY - "Fall in Love"(14. April)

Poetry meets Cacao.

Do you know the feeling when you first meet someone who makes you feel in a certain? That way when you loose a little control and your heart starts to beat faster?

In Guatemalan tradition they had cacao ceremonies before any event that was of great importance for the tribe.

The cacao was taken on an empty stomach around the fire and usually also given a sip to Mother Earth. As a gift and a way of re-opening the ever ongoing circle of giving and taking. She, Mother Earth, who provides us with the beautiful plant of cacao.

This action was also seen as a declaration of love for one of the highest powers nurturing us with her ever giving nature.

The tribes felt strength after this cup of cacao and often a buzz that connected each and everyone to their communal heart but also their own inner wisdom.

Scientifically spoken a cup of pure cacao can be like a gentle kiss for your being and generate the sensation of falling in love.

A moment. This loving touch from within.

Kendy and Kim are taking you on a cacao-voice-journey to this beautiful space where your words meet the heart and through poetry, music and the Mayan traditions we will discover a playful space of joy, laughter, tears, astonishment, surprise and most importantly connection and love!

Kim moves through life as a traveling bridge of cultures, a constant student of life and an inquisitive medicine woman, with this medicine expressing itself in very diverse forms. She sees herself as a cacao guardian, forrest yoga teacher, human design alchemist and tour guide and operator. She lived in Peru for almost 4 years and has been back in Berlin since November 2023. There she shares the medicine of Forest Yoga. Through her travels, Kim has acquired a deep knowledge of cacao and has also worked directly with a cacao-growing community in Peru.

Kendy Gable is a musical artist who interweaves poetry, stories, and melodies. Her work expands beyond the stage, encompassing ceremony, ritual and interactive experiences. She believes that music, even though an ethereal art, has the capacity to create space and to hold listeners and the musicians themselves. She is a performing artist, writer, and teacher with a deep interest in the interconnection of humanity and our relationship to the immediate environment in which we live and the natural world that sustains us.
